He is a founding member of Bobby McFerrins Voicestra (with which he continues to tour internationally). He has toured, recorded and/or performed with Michael Bolton, Ray Obiedo, Joyce Cooling, Patti Austin and the Manhatten Transfer. His 1998 debut solo release II Crossing the Line" introduced Nicolas' exceptional vocal talents to a wildly appreciative international audience, and on his 2nd release 2005's II All about Love", he gives a nod to some of his favorite contemporary composers, while sweetening the set with seven of his own original compositions.
