The Clock
Makers was established in 1979. Jerry Faier is the proprietor.
He is the only Certified Master Clockmaker in the Phoenix
metropolitan area carrying certification from the only United States
agency professionally certifying clockmakers - A.W.C.I. (the
American Watchmakers/Clockmakers Institute) located near Cincinnati,
Ohio. He is a lecturer and teacher for A.W.C.I. and lectures
on a variety of clock subjects throughout the United States.
Clock Makers is a full-service, quality
restoration company and has restored clocks as old as the 1500's.
They also set-up, service, and maintain brand new and old clocks -
wall, mantel, grandfather, etc. They are capable of both
movement and case restoration, and do all work on site. Case
work, in addition to movement work, is one of their specialties.
Jerry and Susan have taken professional courses in the case
restoration industry to further their knowledge. Another
specialty of the Clock Makers is the restoration and repair of Atmos
clocks. Jerry has completed the professional course of
study on the restoration of these types of instruments.
The Clock Makers are service agents for the
major clock manufacturers in the United States (Howard Miller,
Ridgeway, Sligh, etc.) doing home service and set up for all
their products. They also handle warranty service work, as
well as moving damage service. In addition, they are clock
service agents for Bucherer in Switzerland and House of 1000 Clocks
in Germany.
The Faiers strongly believe in education
and therefore include it as part of their repair/restoration
process. They have a reference library at their shop to help
identify the age and manufacturer of timepieces. Please visit their
